I'm currently in Canada as a visitor and during this few months time I married my fiancé that I started a relationship with in March of 2015. We both work remotely full-time from home (in BC, CA) for a company in London so I'm not here on a work visa.

As we go to apply for spouse sponsorship I have some questions that I can't exactly find the answer to as they seem too specific.

- I read something that mentioned having to give fingerprints to Canada (of course) but it also mentioned that I'd need fingerprints from the FBI and any state I resided in for more than 6 months. Is this true? If so, how could I get that without going home? (might be wrong/overthinking it here)
- Looking for places somewhat close where I could potentially give biometrics in BC, all of the ones I found were listed as POEs and mentions that only some work and study applicants are eligible to apply. So where would I go as I'm neither?
- Can I stay while the spouse sponsorship application processes?
- In October I'll be nearing the end of my 6 months allowed here. If I am allowed to stay while it processes does that include if it takes me over 6 months or is there something else to apply for as well? Extension on visiting?
- Is there anything about being a temporary resident while waiting for the application to be processed? What will my status be?
- How long is my US license good for? At what point can I apply for a Canadian driver's license?

I greatly appreciate any help! Thank you for your time.

Just double checking that the company you work for has no offices in Canada or clients in Canada. In order to be able to work while a visitor that is a requirement.

The company does not have an office nor clients in Canada. The only in house workers they have are in London. They're a mobile gaming company. My understanding from further reading of others that work from home and are of the same is that they don't need a work visa of any type as they aren't taking Canadian jobs from Canadians.

You would have to look into the company further but things like having a Canadian distributor would likely been an issue. It is more complicated than just not taking jobs away from Canadians.
