So, would that mean, the process to finish up my background verification for PR would be done even more quickly as my company has already been called once and confirmed my work experince, I mean this would atleast be there in my records right,

I just finished my course for a private college and came back this wednesday, applied for pr on the same day and voila got the invite the next drop,,,

Firstly congratulations for your ITA and finishing your private college.

To answer your question , No , not necessarily , they surely have access to your files history within IRCC systems but bear in mind that PR application and student visa application are handled differently by different teams as per my understanding when reading CIC website , when you will submit your application , a new set of verifications will be carried independently from any previous Canada visa applications you may had, even if the student permit team done a verification on a work experience you may use on your PR application.

Additionally your credentials will be verified at least two times , one verification by program assistant , who will then make a recommendation on your file , and another verification by the senior officer who will either confirm or dismiss the recommendation , most of the time senior officers just confirm based on recommendation.

so was the procedure for the student process as strict as it would be for the PR process, my boss was pretty much irked by me asking him to wait for the embassy call and I pacified him telling him it was a one time thing...

do I need to prep him up again ?

Well in essence , PR application is far stricter and more severe when it comes to assessment and verification of documents they don't take it lightly.

However , I d say that most applicants employers don't receive a call , they proceed with verification calls mostly when they can't verify your employment by other means and the employment is hardly verifiable without making the call to your company.

So it depends really , each application is different and yes , when he issues your employment letter , tell him he may receive a call from IRCC.

Good luck
