Hi everyone, we are working on my parents sponsorship application,
My sponsorship has been approved and my mother is Principal Applicant,
if they just filed divorce, what kind of document does CIC need in order to continued and finalize this application without divorce set on the stone? thx

They need to be officially divorced. The divorce has to be legal in their country, and legal in Canada. If they have just filed for divorce, they are not actually divorced yet. Wait until they have the final divorce decree.

Will CIC give my mom visa during separation before divorce?

It depends on what she indicated in her application. If she put divorced in her application and filed the divorce recently Cic will ask for divorced certificate in order for them to continue the application.

In the application, was still married, she is legally separated now,she is going to updated her marital status to CIC to "legally separated" with proved documents from her lawyer and ask her husband name off the application, will CIC made decision without the divorce?
