Hello all

My spouse and I have a joint bank account among other proofs. We have a deposit/Withdrawal booklet (I guess most of us had one at some time)
The only part of the booklet that carries our names is page 2. This page except our names depicts the Bank institution, the account number and the IBAN number.
Is this as good as proof of a joint account? Do I need to do something else?

Thanking you in advance

Pretty much any document that shows the name of the bank, an account number and both your names together, should suffice.

Do you get monthly statements that would show both your names on it?

You could also request a simple letter from the bank that just confirms you are indeed joint account holders. Some will do this for free, others may charge you a fee for the letter.

Indeed - we did that. We asked the bank to issue a statement to show both our names ( most bank statements were addressed to me only as I was the "first holder" of the account, and my partner was added later on), and they did it for free, I explained that it was for immigration purposes so they did it directly in english (avoid to have to translate it later on), and added official bank stamps etc.

Thank you very much Rob_TO , I will try to get a statement too!

That's a good idea too. The bank manager is a friend so I will ask him to make one in English instead of paying again for translations. Did you have to notarize this too? As long as it had stamps I assume you didn't .
My regards

No - I didn't get it notarized, as it seemed "official" enough - the bank offered to sign in blue pen, so it shows that it's not a photocopy for example ( more difficult to see if it's in black).
Good luck!

Should work. I did a void cheque with both our names on it.
