Hello Experts

I am interested in taking short term assignments in Canada (as and when available).
I intend to give interview, Drive/Fly and appear in person, get the job, work (1 or 2 Weeks), return to Homeland...
I need to follow/repeat this till I am able to move to Canada permanently.
I do have PR card and SIN.
Can I work as an independent contractor (without any restrictions) ?
What is a Corporation ? Is it mandatory to set-up one ?

I think you need to review the Visa Topic Entries in the other forum groups as they have have answers to some of your questions.

Flying back/forth for interviews will become extremely expensive. The normal practice for many Canadian companies is to do a number of phone interviews or web-interviews first and if they select you as one of top 2-3 candidates then a face-to-face interview would be arranged.

While not impossible, it can be extremely challenging to conduct an effective job search outside of the country. You need to quickly understand the processes and protocols for a local job search and immerse yourself in the marketplace.

here are a few links that may be of interest. The first is a site set-up by a new immigrant -- it's his success story of how he landed in Canada and found work.
