Apply at monster.ca or other job posting websites.

One good tip -- Look for jobs in remote areas too. In the big cities, there are too many qualified people who are willingly to work for less. If you look for jobs in remote areas where many don't want to go you might stand a chance. Don't expect everything to be smooth and easy. It takes time.

Hi papa bomboy what province do you think it will be easy to get an Environmental job. I have a first degree in Environmental engineering and I am taking a post graduate certificate in environmental monitoring and Impact assessment. ..I am currently in sudbury ontario

My best guess will be Alberta. Last year Environmental sector created jobs in Alberta , which explains why I got a short term contract even though it wasn't my field.
Am not a big advocate of big cities sometimes so be prepared to move to remote areas if you do get a chance. Atleast thats what happened in my case. If you really need that experience then be prepared to go where alot of job seekers don't like to go.
Look into companies like Tervita and Maxxam Analytics. Better yet google ' environmental companies in Alberta ' .

By the way did you apply to Inco in Sudbury?

I haven't started applying yet, still a little confused on what to do either going for masters or getting a job...not done with my program yet, have a co-op term coming up soon though....

Hi,

I've applied as a skilled worker, as I'm working as an Advertising account manager, and I need to work in Ottawa,

is Ottawa will be the right place for me ?

I can help you decide.
Was the original goal to get work experience? Or to do a PGD and then proceed to a Masters program?

How much time have you got on your study permit?

Sounds like a personal issue to me. The key thing is getting in first. Whether Ottawa meets your needs or not, its something you will find out on arrival. On the other hand, you have given little information so its hard to draw a conclusion.

Wait on the decision to be made first and then worry about the rest later.

I have just one yr visa that's why I was thinking of doing a masters to get 3 yr work permit, prefer a masters to taking another PGD..but again I am thinking with express entry if I get a job it would be easy to get PR with 1 yrs PGWP....wat do u think?

A 1 yr PGWP is too risky. That is there is no guarantee you will get a job and work experience within that time frame. I know people with a 3yr PGWP still looking 1yr into their permit. Remember you still need a year's work experience to apply atleast for CEC.

I would concentrate on getting into a masters program if possible but thats just my opinion. Its still up to you to decide.

How long is ur PGD program?

Its 12 months PGD., the third semester is a compulsory co -op which can be done in 5 weeks. ....Yea 1 yr PGWP is too short, that's why I am thinking of the Masters program but the issue is when to apply most application closes by February for international students and then my 2nd semester transcript will not be ready .....
