Hi All,

One of my friends is willing to apply for Teachers' profile in canada. Can you please share what are the job prospects of a teacher in Canada?

Which provinces can be applied for via PNP for this profile?

Please guide.

First you need to find out the NOC code for teachers. You need to make sure that the job duties of one particular NOC code match up by atleast 60 to 70% to your existing job duties. Once you find out such a code, then that becomes your NOC code for Canada immigration.

Search for job for that particular NOC code on Job bank website. It will display results province wise on right side.
You can easily identify the province which has max. jobs for that particular profession. Accordingly, you find out your eligibility for PNP for that province.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Your friend will need to be certified as a teacher in Canada before being able to accept a job as a teacher. The certification process is a bit different for each province.

Generally speaking, Canada has more teachers than teaching jobs. So the job market for teachers is not great.

depends on the subject. Teaching french outside quebec or teaching english in quebec. Those are very good fields and they are in demand. Or if you speak spanish, mandarin or italian. There are language schools looking for native speakers. university lectures are also in demand but you need minimum a master degree. Cheers.

Early chilhood education is also in demand. Cheers.
