Hello. Is there anyone out there who is taking, has graduated or working with this program certificate?

I am planning on taking Healthcare Leadership and Management in Canada next year. It seems to be the best program I can take given my background. It's just a 1-year program so I'm eligible for a 1-year PGWP.

I would like to know if there are many jobs out there that relates to this course. I don't want to waste any of my time looking for jobs, especially that I will only have a year to accomplish my work experience and apply for PR.

Education counselors and agents are telling me that this is a wise choice and that there are plenty of job offers related to this program. I understand that there are only a few openings available for the health admin/managerial positions compared to care support jobs which seem to be the most in-demand now. Likewise, most job offers require 3 to 5 years of experience, which I certainly do not have.

But if anyone can tell me more about the market demands for my chosen field of study, I would gladly appreciate it. I want to be sure that I'm headed for successful work and immigration after studying.

If your aim is PR, then you should take a two year program or two 1 year programs so that you qualify for a 3 year PGWP. Only taking a 1 year program is very risky and a bad plan.

I plan on taking the 1+1 study route.

If I'll graduate from my first program by Aug 2021, and take another course on January/May 2022 intake, is that possible?

Januay 2022 is fine. May 2022 is not.

Never believe agents and counsellors. Definitely a tough market to get into. Lots of competition. Unless you have quite a lot of experience in management and it’s from certain countries a lot of experience is discounted. A lot of healthcare management jobs go to practitioners who have practiced in Canada and slowly moved up the management chain with or without an MBA.
