how can the canadian government/immigration officers spot a fake job offer? lets say someone in canada made up a job that was in fact fake but was doing it because someone outside outside of canada was willing to pay them good money $$$$$$$ american dollars of course. someone outside of canada was willing to pay easily one million american dollars or more to obtain permanent residency status in canada. the employer in canada was willing to go along with it for the money. what are the countermeasures that the government/immigration officers would use to determine if in fact the job offer was legitimate or not? the employer and the person outside of canada arent dumb just like officials working for the government who are trying to determine if its a real job or not. would the government investigate this like it were marriage fraud? i know marriage fraud is easier to detect than this type of fraud, but how would they go about determining if this was a real job offer? can we compare this to marriage fraud or not in the sense that they have more easier ways to determine if this was a fake job offer i.e. fake marriage? rsvp.

I assume you may know of such a fake job offer. If you feel that strongly about it, you can send a complaint to the CIC.

LMIAs are the countermeasures. Job offers need approved LMIAs. Approved LMIAs are difficult to get and require a substantial investment in time and money from the employer.

If someone has a million dollars they wouldn't pay someone for a job offer. They would immigrate through one of the provincial investor streams and keep their money.

what if the person who had the million dollars was willing to pick up the bills for the employer, time and money so the employer wouldnt spend a dime out of their pocket? specifically what lmia countermeasures would be in place to detect specifically this kind of fraud? im not talking about a fake job offer letter but instead someone in canada posting a fake job offer online on various sites trying to make it difficult for most canadians that only this foreign person can do the job, ect............. rsvp

but it was illegally obtained money, thats the problem why they wouldnt qualify for the investor program. they couldnt justify the money. therefore they had to do it this way. rsvp
