HELLO PEOPLE IS JOB OFFER AND CONTRACT THE SAME? I GOT THE JOB OFFER BUT MY EMPLOYER WONTGIVE THE CONTRACT AS HE SAID IT IS THE SAME. PLS NEED YOUR HELP. THANKS.

I can't vouch for it, but as far as i remember, CIC says that you need to get a job offer or an employment contract. That's either or. So i guess it's not the same. In my case i asked for a contract straight away, which is what i advise you to do as well. 8)

A job offer signed by both parties which states all required information, such as pay, benefits, termination, vacation etc. can be accepted for WP. It is legally different in their functions. Contract is bonding document for your employment with more details. So always good if you can get contract when you formally start working. When you have issues with your ER, you have contract as the document to refer to. In cases no contract signed, the local employment standards will apply.
