I have recieved an initial job offer from a canadian employer in the Montreal region .. Me and wife are already in the process of preparing our Express Entry profile , based on our IELTS results and work experience we have gathered something like 426 pts .. our education credentials are being assessed by WES now so I don't know where we stand exactly but I want to know how much this offer affects my chances .. does it give me more points ? or is it irrelevant ? Does an offer from outside the official job boards count ? how much points might it add ?

Thank you in advance for all your replies

I am afraid if it is not LMIA approved job, you may not get points for it.

If you intend to work in Quebec, you will not be eligible for the Federal Express Entry program. You will have to apply under the Quebec program.

"Note: The Province of Quebec does not use Express Entry. They select their own skilled workers. See Quebec-selected skilled workers to find out more."

Good point about the Quebec thing ... I don't intend to work in Quebec and I am planning on going to an english province because I lack in French a lot but the offer just came from there ... I will see how this ends up and I will keep you updated

Thank you again all for the replies
