Hello,

My employer is going to be writing my job description letter for my 1 year of work, in order for me to apply for EE. My questions are:

1. Must salary be included? I wasn't working under salary, it was just an hourly wage. Would an hourly wage be sufficient to mention?

2. Is there an "expiry date" for this job description letter? I plan to be applying for EE in December/January, while the letter is being written up in August.

Thank you!

1. Yes salary information is needed. If it was an hourly wage you can write amount per hour.
2. There is no expiry date as such. Is it your current job or something that you have left ? Why can't you take letter later if you're worried about expiry date?

Your remuneration must be included. Since you are not paid on a salary basis, you of course cannot write "salary" but you can write your hourly wage, or commission, or however you get paid. "Remuneration" also includes vacation time and other benefits. A lot of people ignore this, but sometimes it makes a difference...

The letter doesn't expire, but the date at the top of the letter matters. So if it written BEFORE you complete one year of work, it does not provide proof of one year of experience. The letter should be written AFTER you complete one year...

Ok, so how many months worth shall I include? I was employed for 2 years and currently employed for 4 years...

And, do I include pay stubs from previous job? They were available through my employee account online only. Not sure if I have access to them any more...

its not required. just upload any other supporting document you have. like offer letter, tax form etc. make your case stronger.

I've included the past 3 months payslips of both my employers because my R&R letters did not mention salary details.
