Job Change after BG - In Process. OK? Shall I inform CIC?

Hi all,

You probably have got what the ask is from the subject. I've a better Job opportunity/offer while my BG is In Process. Is that OK to accept it? Do I need to notify CIC? If so, how? through email or phone or EE Profile?

I have received but not accepted ITA. From what I see my profile cannot be edited. I suggest you send a Case specific Inquiry. Don't forget to mark it as 'Express Entry' inquiry.

From what I know, you don't need to inform CIC of your job change, unless the Job Change is a job offer via LMIA which will affect your application and points in your EE. Other than that, you're all good.

Points for securing an LMIA based job do not matter once you have submitted an application which obviously got a person an ITA.

Unless you fear they would discover something in profile which could result in cutting down points that effectively lowers score below ITA cut off.

Or something happens which disqualifies one from the minimum eligibility criteria of the PR program (EE is not PR program, rather CEC, FSW, PNP etc are)
