Hi Jigna, Calgirl, Madhava, Navchd, Duggalca, Sharma77, Nilsej, mokshagj15 -

Could you please let us know the number of countries and the country names that u/ ur spouse has visited respectively? This is to assess whether the number of countries visited and the need for security check conducted with each country is the time difference that we see on the trunaround time with the Passport stamping. I mean, my guess on the turnaround time difference with the Passport stamping with inviduals is based on the time consumed for the security check for every indiviudal. Just wanted to get it confirmed 100%.

Note : Whoever is waiting for their Passports back from the New Delhi office can very well join this thread with enthusiasm. Please pour in ur contributions. Thnx.

plz. respond..rgds, George Joseph

Hi George,

Am contributing to this thread even though I have not yet got Passport Request. I completed medicals 3 months back. Have sent 2 case specific enquiries to Delhi over 3 months to enquire about PPR - both times they say that some further verification is needed, and coordination with external agencies. I am presuming that this could be verification based on number of countries visited. I have visited 5-6 countries on the current passport and about 20 trips in all. So I too think this could be one of the reasons for extended processing.

I got Medicals without PPR because I had to get my daughters passport reissued. Had that not been the case, I beleive I would have got medical with PPR, and would be in a similar waiting position after sending the passport. Since they have my latest travel history, I presume they are doing the verification now and will ask for passport later.

I don't think PCC(in case of No record report)from other countries have anything to do with the processing time. My husband and I stayed in different states of USA. Our FBI clearance and PCC from NY for my spouse was easy to get and we submitted with our full application. My PCC from CA took time and we sent it with passports and RPRF after medical. CHC New Delhi received our passports on 7th Nov 09, my son, daughter and I got our visa stamped on 24th Nov 09, my husband got his passport stamped on 25th Nov 09, ecas changed to decision made on 1st Dec 09 and we received our passport back on 2nd Dec 09. CHC ND posted our passport back on 26th Nov 09(this is as per the date of the stamp on the envelope).
However, I believe things will get delayed if the PCC report is something other than "no record".

i think this may not be fully right! i have visted 5 diffrent countries but my wife visted none. it took 3 weeks to get stamped passports back. i know one of my friend & his spouse has visted more than 4 countries and the recived visa within 10 days. BUT I M NOT SURE ABT WHOLE OF THIS FINAL PROCESS TIMINGS.

Hi buddy, I am main applicant and Me and my wife were in UK so we have to arrange PCC fro UK also and for my wife she has to arrange 3 PCC one from her before marriage second from UK and third from her place after marriage. And the time taken for my VISA was around & months.
