Hi Guys,

My wife is landing separately after one month of my landing we have some jewelry which we are not bringing to Canada at this time but might bring them at a later stage. We are doing the permanent landing and all the jewelry are with my wife and currently, she is India and I am in UAE. I am traveling from UAE and cannot go to India is it ok if she shows the jewelry pic during her landing time or should I need to show the goods to follow document.

regards,
Chandra

no it wont work
you need to bring the funds and funds could be in the form of:

cash,
documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.), or
documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders).

however, that Canadian customs regulations require you to declare if you are bringing more than CAN$10,000 into Canada. If you do not tell them, you may be fined, and your funds could be seized
