January / February Applications returned

Hello!

So, I initially applied in early January and the application was received on January 9, 2014 by CIC. I got the application returned to me with a letter dated January 31, 2013 and I received it on February 6, 2014. The reason it was returned was because I forgot to sign on the "How to calculate residence" form (How did I miss that!!).

Anyways, I did not look at the website to check if there were any changes, so, I just signed the form and sent it back. The application was received by CRA on February 13, 2014. So, I have applied with the old forms and $200 application fee. I am still waiting to see if the application will be returned back a second time.

So, who has had their application returned due to the fees increase? And anyone like me who had the application returned and and re-returned? What would be the best thing to do in this situation?

that was my case. 1st :Received on Dec 27th, returned on Feb 3rd. Re sent it on Feb 4th, cic received it on Feb 10th. re returned due to fee increase on Feb 23rd. I just resent it again.

I hope everything is ok now.

Alright, So I did get the application returned to me last week and have just sent it back to CIC with the balance fees payment.

Guys,
Same happened with me too. Resend it on Feb 21st with additional fees.
But now I see one more thing. They have changed application form - section where they ask for work / education history for last 4 years. Check new form and compare with your application form.
I don't think it will be issue once again as I already paid them their extra $$ for new fees , but you never know. Just FYI, not trying to scare anyone.

Yes, I did send in the new forms as well along with my old application package. I wrote a cover letter saying that although the forms are almost the same, I have attached the new form as well and they can use whichever form is good for them.

Lets see how quick the application moves.

I submitted my application mid dec and returned back Feb 1st due to stamp missing or not clear at the back of the picture. I resubmitted the application with correct photo and CIC got the application on Feb5th. Haven't heard anything yet, hope it is accepted.

rahilp06 - you should be fine since they received your application back on February 5. The fees increase only affects those applications which were received on or after February 6.

Yikes....did you even read the CIC instruction guide by any chance?? Apart from the new fee that was implemented on the 6th,im noticing lots of pple arent reading the application instructions at all...they have millions of questions,many of them right in the guide itself...please pple...read before applying and submission!

Just want to let you know that I sent my application Feb 4th, Received Feb 10, Returned March 5th due to wrong fees. I will be resending it today.
