I applied to sponsor my Wife with an Inmigration Office in Calgary, they requested a policy certificate as all the applications at the end of January 2017.i submit it right away, after 8 months receive a letter from office in Colombia requesting this.

In order to assess your admissibility to Canada, please provide detailed and complete statements and records (as applicable) related to any criminal, civil or other CHARGES/ALLEGATIONS /CONVICTIONS against you in the last 10 years, REGARDLESS of whether or not they resulted in a conviction. Please be informed that failure to provide truthful, complete and accurate information could result in a refusal of your application for misrepresentation (under section 40 of the Immigration and Refugee Protect Act) and result in a 5 year inadmissibility from Canada.
