i'm a jan 2012 applicant.....and i would like to start this thread and would be grateful if u ppl share ur input as it might be helpful for many of us......i applied on 3rd dec,2011 and file was transfered to islamabad embassy on the 30th of jan 2012......

Hey KJG, mine was received @11:31am Pacific time. But I guess with CIC you'll never know. I was thinking last night about your notes. Really really hope you get them before you leave. When are you leaving for Cuba?
I wish they would put a note in the interview request, informing people why they are being called for an interview. But I'm sure you guys are gonna be fine

I leave on Sunday....but I will have my blackberry which recieves my emails but I usually shut it off so I don't get dinged with roaming charges...but if I don't have anything over the weekend I will start checking on Monday.....so 11:31 pacific is 2:31 here....so I will wait........pretty standard for Cubans to be interviewed I am just curious to know if there is anything specific or just because it is Cuba!!!! I am not too worried....nervous but honestly there is nothing more we could have done save and except mail my firstborn to them.....LOL

The file is around 3-4MB, so it's really not that bad to get it while roaming. It's not gonna be cheap, for sure, but it won't break the bank or anything.
I really hope you get it today though!
I'd be nervous. too. and I agree, it always pays to be prepared ahead of time. You'll be fine
