My boyfriend and I received our ITA today, expected as we're on 495 points. We were planning on declining a few times to buy us more time (for an FBI check and to get finances together). But now the system seems to be changing we're unsure whether to just take the ITA now or risk it and decline.
Can anyone confirm...
1) Do I have the full 60 days to decline, or do I have to do it sooner?
2) Can anyone confirm the changes to points under skills transferability? We currently have 88 on that (CLB 10, 1 year CWE, 2 years FWE), but the way it's now described makes me think we might drop to 75?
3) I'm confused by the medical requirements. It's valid for 1 year, but still has to be valid for 6 months when you submit? And that would mean you had to enter Canada immediately after that?
4) If we apply now, have to ask for an extension for his FBI check, then it comes back as his fingerprints not being accepted and he has to apply again for that, what happens? Is our application rejected?
Thanks guys. Sorry for all the questions.
I'll lose 5 points next week too as I have a birthday.
Any thoughts?
