ITA received for PR. Being married and being primary applicant, can I take a house on joint lease with someone ?

Hi,
I being a primary applicant have received ITA. My wife and I work in Quebec. I am planning to take a house on rent outside Quebec. I was approached by someone with similar conditions to take a common house on joint-lease where I and him would stay.
Is it legal to take a house on joint-lease with third-party when I have a dependent with me ?
