Hi All,

I am IT professional (Masters in computer) with 7+ exp.
I & my wife(She is MBA and doing HR job from last 3 years) would like migrate to canada.
I am very new to this I need guidance that how should I proceed.
If some one can answer my below query then it would be great.
1) Am I eligible to apply for PR my own or I need sponsorship?
2) Which immigration layer should I go for?
3) What is total cost for whole process.
4) How long it would take to compelete whole process(with break-ups of all stages).
5) How is the market for IT professional in Canada? Can I get job easily?

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

Currently Canada Immigration has stopped receiving FSW (Federal Skilled Workers) Applications till Dec-2012.

IT & HR Occupation is not in the Canada's NOC list last 2 years.

You can try through other sources such as Quebec or AEO ( not sure of other than this).

You need to wait till Dec 2012 for the new list of NOC to apply.

Regards
Cool

what cool guy says is correct.

Canada has temporarily stopped immigration.

If you can get a job offer from Canada then you can migrate with LESS hassle :)

however for the last few years IT jobs and HR jobs are not in the needed skill list where they select people to migrate to Canada.

That's true Canada stops processing FSW applications till Dec. 2012, for IT Professionals better to try Quebec Skilled Workers Category.
other then that wait till Dec. 2012 this year once Canada announces new Occupation list see if IT occupation is there then u can try. As per your Qualification and experience and also your spouse qualification you are most eligible candidate for Canada Immigration as per my consideration. But everything is depends on Canada's policy or new rules and new occupations also.

Hello,

If you are an IT exp immigrant (SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft/Java/C++/Web developer and other skill) and planning to land in Calgary , you can always contact www.kbmit.com (KBM IT SOlutions) a company run by an immigrant himself.

His company places consultants anywhere in Canada...

Cheers...
