Issues regarding PGWP

Hi,
I have applied for my PGWP on 8th September 2021 and I received a letter from IRCC saying I am eligible to work till 6th January 2022 until they make a decision. I have already joined an organization and working there for over a month. I have not heard back from IRCC yet about my PGWP decision, and the holiday season starts next week, what would happen after 6th Jan 2022 if I didn't receive any update from IRCC? Should I stop working?

No, don't stop working. You can keep working until you recieve a decision for the PGWP application.

On maintained status you can keep working till you hear back from IRCC.
