Issues booking a one way ticket?

I booked a one way ticket to land in April but now Air Canada has sent me an email asking for additional information including, country of residency, nationality, passport number and destination in the U.S. I hope that there is no issue because I'm not going through the US. It's a direct flight to Toronto

Dont worry. Airlines ask for these info to be updated with ticket. Just a security measure followed by all airlines.
