Hello,

I have got my admission in Algoma University, Brampton for May 2022 intake. I just got my PPR yesterday & I have processed it for stamping. But as per current trend, the processing will take somewhere around 15 to 20 Days. As per college, I must appear before May 10th for the course I am in and register with valid study permit. I explained them the situation and told them that I got PPR and if they can consider that instead Study Permit. But they denied and stated that it is not their guideline, it is Government's guideline and if I be late, college will not take any responsibility of that and I will be traveling at my own risk and discretion and without University's support.

Has anyone else faced any such issue? Is there a way to sort this out? I will be there latest by May 20th.

Thanks in advance.

This is an issue between you and the school. They have a date that you must appear by. You may get stamping prior to the 10th. If you do not think you will be in Canada by May 10 then consider deferring.

This is the same thing with me but instead for Algoma sault.ste marie. I really dont know why the school does that. when did you apply for your permit, I'm still expecting mine and no it takes 7 days to stamp the passport and return not 15-20 days.
