Islamabad Passport return after online passport submission request

Hi all,

Just submitted my passport to the CHC islamabad last week on Thursday. I had applied online, and got a passport request form in my cic. Any ideas how long they are taking for visa stamping these days.

My timeline:
Applied for TRV: 06 Feb 2016
Biometrics: 08 Feb 2016
Passport Request: 28 April 2016
Passport Sent: 28 April 2016 via TCS. RECIEVED 29 APRIL

Waiting for approved message online.

Oh well... I got Application Closed and Visa Approved message today in mycic. So it should be delivered tommorrow or Saturday.

For anyone interested, it takes a week to get the approved message in Visitor TRV case. Delivery depends on your choice of courier. I chose TCS Cash on Delivery (COD), so hopefully should be delivered to my home address tomorrow.

Hello Bilal first of all congratulations on getting visitor visa. My parents applied for visit visa online on Feb 26, 2016 and received a passport request on May 3, 2016. My dad chose VFS global services to send passport to CHC and sent his passport on May 04, 2016. Online status shows "Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office, ISLAMABAD on 05/05/2016". Hopefully, by the end of next week they will get it back with visa stamp.

Congrats! My parents applied on March 11, 2016. But they applied a paper based one and had to submit the passport at VFS Islamabad the same day. Online shows 44 days as processing time but they still havent heard back or any replies to their email to Canadian Consulate in Islamabad!

Did you contact the consulate regarding your application during the process or just waited for their email? Thanks

Congrats! My parents applied on March 11, 2016. But they applied a paper based one and had to submit the passport at VFS Islamabad the same day. Only shows 44 days as processing time but they still havent heard back or any replies to their email!

Due to heavy work load at CHC Islamabad office all the files are now being processed at Abu Dhabi office. My parents applied online on Feb 26, 2016 and got their passport submission request on May 3, 2016.

Thanks! What I don't get is that why don't they reply back to emails after the processing time passes. In my parents case they have submitted their passports and its close to 2 months when online the processing time says 44 days!

I think its better to always apply online so you can send your passport when requested later.

I think its better to always apply online so you can send your passport when requested later.

Online processing time are based on 80% processing. Every application is an unique, 44 days processing time only an average based on previous processed files. Sometimes it takes a week to process and sometimes it takes months. There is nothing you can do but wait.

Yes hopefully they'll get the approved message within a week. These last few days from submitting the passport to receiving the passport back feels like eternity. Especially if you are planning to leave soon.

How many days did it finally take for them to receive back the passport afters submitting it on May 04?
