Is Winnipeg too cold?

Hi,

I just thought of Joining the University of Winnipeg But I am not sure if the cold is bearable.

Has anyone been there before?
Can You work during The long cold winter?
As an international student would I be stuck for months indoors without any work?

Please Help. Any feedback is much appreciated.

As of 2016 ,778489 people live in Winnipeg. So it seems they survive. A persons version of cold living in Winnipeg , or for that matter a persons version of cold living in Vancouver is totally different compared to let’s say to someone leaving in Toronto . I grew up in Alberta, live in Toronto , you cannot compare the climate in these two places . It’s up to you to figure what you can bare
