I have learned from a few (2) appeal cases that the sponsor should be in Canada from the time the sponsorship is approved till the final decision is made. I want to know how far is this correct? My husband travels between Toronto and Newyork every 2 months for a week or so for work. Also, by the end of December, which is also nearing the end of my timeline(hopefully), he plans to visit me for my birthday aswell as his sisters wedding for 25days or so. I want to know if anyone has been through a similar case and yet managed to get through. What are the chances..and how bad is this..or is this bad at all? Please help.

Is your husband a Canadian citizen? If so, then traveling out of the country won't be a problem.

If your husband is a PR, then he must be living in Canada while the application is being processed (or the application may be rejected). The business trips should be fine. When he visits you, he should aim to make this a 2-3 week trip tops.

My husband is a PR. Thanks, that should help.
