I think the proof is good enough...not sure what you mean by virgin passport..so I will leave it to somebody who knows about it to answer that question...

I suppose a virgin passport is one that doesn't have any stamps in it? (never been used)

I think she means that the passport still has her "virgin name" (the name she used before her marriage).

I think youneed to get the passport updated. The Nigerian Embassy in Ireland says they charge €25.00 to change the name there. Information at http://www.nigerianembassy.ie/cname.html. The Nigerian high commission in Ottawa charges CAD$20.00 (http://www.nigeriahcottawa.com/content/change-of-name-15.html). I didn't see anything on the Nigerian immigration site, but I think the same can be done there for a similar fee.

It appears that they note it on the "observations" page of your current passport rather than issuing a whole new passport.

You mentioned a video. Note that you can't send videos with your application, or CDs or anything other than paper. The rest of what you mentioned sounds good to me.

It sounds good. Maybe include letters or affidavits from relatives and friends attesting that your relationship is genuine. They should state how they know you, when they met the spouse, what activities you have participated in together, and say that in their opinion your relationship with your husband is real/genuine, that the two of you are obviously in love, etc.

A virgin passport is a brand new passport with no stamps on it. It's a "Nigerian term".
