Is there any relationship between SS and Re-MEP?

Hi guys,

During SS, I received an GU: re-mep
And a few days after the mep, my MP assisted me in talking to ircc to find out the status, still security in progress.
To add, my SS starts on 2021-9-20

Does anyone know what this means?
Does it state that SS is complete?
Is there any necessary connection between SS and re-mep?
