My current work permit expires June 8th - Iv applied for PR and looking at the timeframes from June applicants, should hear about a medical request the start/middle of April. I will apply for the BOWP this week.

So;

Wedding is on June 7th
Current work permit end June 8th
Would have the BOWP while the PR is in process

Could I return after the wedding and continue to work with the BOWP?

Or once my work permit ends and Im under the BOWP - can I leave the country?

Thanks

Hi,
You have to apply BOWP first and once it is issued you have work permit and not implied status.

All you have to do is get TRV after you get BOWP to leave and comeback to Canada.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the response "guelphmm".

I will be applying for the BOWP tomorrow and I will be able to work away as normal when my current permit expires.

So you are saying to then apply and get a TRV (Temporary Resident Visa) so I will be able to return and continue working? Would the BOWP not be enough on its own?

Thanks

You need a TRV to re-enter Canada once you travel (unless you are from a visa exempt country).

I am from a visa exempt country so I dont need a visa to enter Canada.

But will I lose my BOWP Status if I leave for a week and return to Canada?

You don't loose your BOWP, it expires only after the date mentioned.
