Is technician degree valid for EE?

Hello people!

I'd like to apply for the EE program. In order to get the higher possible amount of CRS points I'm thinking of getting a telecommunication technician's degree given by a high school.

However I don't know if the combination of the technician's degree and a bachelor's one counts as "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees" or if it would have to be two bachelor's to get the points for that specific category.

I wonder if any of you guys have had experience with the CRS criteria in that matter.

Not yet. Before sending my documentation I have to decide whether to get the technical degree or not.

There are chances that WES might assess it as 'Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees' which will give you more points that Bachelors by itself. Since WES does not charge by the number of degrees/certificates/diplomas they assess, it would be advisable to send both together for assessment.

Meanwhile, you can check your degree equivalency on WES site http://www.wes.org/ca/immigrants/preliminary.asp.
