I'm Just curious.
Colleges are required to report international student that are no shows for school, or stop attending.
But accidents happen, I think its referred to as (SLIPPING THROUGH THE CRACKS), and student may not be reported.
Would that mean that the study permit remains valid?

No.

If you remain in Canada and do not attend your school, if you apply for an extension, a change of schools, etc., IRCC will discover that you are in violation of your permit.
