I understand that the overall processing time for inland applications (common-law) is substantially longer than an outland application (Canadian sponsor, US applicant).
My question is whether it is primarily for stage 1 approval of sponsor (~11 months versus 4-5)?
From what I can determine, the real delay is on the US side (shocking, I know), so even if I was to apply outland, stage 2 processing would still be at a snails pace...right??
Our situation really prevents an outland application, so I guess the question is moot, but...I'm still curious.

I just read another post that indicates ~8 months total processing in Ottawa for outland. Wow...That seems like a blur compared to what we're going to be up against with inland...but we'll wait patiently like everyone else.
