Hi Experts,

Just want to ask if salary information really need to be stated in JOB reference Letter?

My reference letter only include my job roles and responsibilities, position, date of employment..

I attached this reference letter and able to get nomination in Saskatchewan..

Can i still use this reference letter in CIC Stage? I will not be able to get another reference letter with salary information.. :( :(

Anyone have same experience?

Please advice

Thank you very much

CIC needs proof that your job was paid and therefore requires the annual salary to be mentioned in the reference letter if you are a FSW applicant. If the company cant provide the salary information in the letter then get the bank statements showing salary transfer for the period of your work and other documents like initial job offer letter etc to prove that your work is paid.
If you have any email communication from the company stating they cant mention salary in the letter ,then attach that email along with a letter of explanation about your situation.

You need to provide evidence for the experience you are claiming points against... so if you cant support some years, then do not claim it.

I see.. one question, in Saskatchewan application i only provided the reference letter with job duties and employment duration and they accepted it..

is there a chance that CIC will reject it?

Thanks!

CIC is a much stricter reviewing body so if your previous employer cannot provide a reference letter showing that, then you will need to show other documents that will prove you were paid that much.

Any time you do not provide what CIC asks for, there is a chance they will refuse it.

If you CANNOT provide something that CIC asks for, you need to provide a Letter of Explanation as to the reason, evidence that supports your explanation (e.g. employer refusal to provide the information), AND alternative supporting documentation (e.g. payslips, contracts, tax documents...)

Guys, is it a big problem if the monthly salary is shown in the reference letter instead of the annual one?

Not a problem. Either way it makes clear that your getting paid for the work you do.
