Hey just a simple question but hard to find answers.

My girlfriend and me living together in Norway in the moment. She has a valid W&H- visa and I am a EU- citizien.
We sharing an appartment toghether, our relationship is common, everybody know we are couple (parents, relatives, friends)
We are a couple for now almost 1,5 years but we just started to living together on the official way since we are in Norway. The plan is to stay here for 12months maybe a month longer. After that time she needs to back to Canada.

My question is now, if I go back with her to Canada as a vistor/ temporary resident after our year in Norway, will the following time in Canada (I will live toghether with her in Canada) count as cohibation time, even if I have just the visitor status?

If you get the 12 months in Norway, and continue to live together (at the same address) in Canada it all counts.

The 12 months can be anywhere in the world, regardless of immigration status. You just need to live together.

If you take a month of living apart before your 12 months, the 12 months may not count and you may not be common law.

Is it possible to gather this time in two different country? 7 months in Norway and 5 months in Germany for example.

As long as it's not separated by a length of time in between. You could move somewhere every other week as long as for 12 continuous months you cohabitated.

Hey, just another question. We will leave our home in Sep. due the Corona virus. In the moment we are living in Norway, by Sep. we will live together for 11 months. Now the plan is to go back to Germany to visit my Parents and stay there for maybe another two months. My question is now does that count as living together, because we wont rent an apartment, we will live in my parents house. I am just not sure about that, even k.h.p. was pretty clear in his previous postings. The hole thing seems to be a bit more like a holiday trip to Germany than living together, even we wont be separated for the time in Germany.

It doesn't matter if it's a holiday. It counts as living together if you can prove it.
