Hi, I made a mistake and took academic module of ielts exam before applying as a skillled worker on 2005. and delivered it to the embassy as my english proficiency test. I want to know if they will accept my ielts exam or will ask me to take it again. regards, farhad

It depends on the IO. They might accept it or they might ask for a new one.

You have done IELTS in 2005, so they will ask you to retake the exam anyway. AT that time , you can do the General Test.

As per new CIC Rules only academic will be accepted and IELTS test is having only 1 year validity. Please go through the Instruction manual... complete details regarding this is available in it.

You mean only general training will be accepted? At http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp and in a few other places, it says to take general training, not academic. The IELTS need to be less than 1 year old at the time of application.
