Is MEng program getting closed in Canada ?

One of my friend emailed to some professors of the Uni of victoria to ask them for supervision . And they replied that MEng course is soon getting closed in canada ..Is this possible ? I mean what about the students who have applied for this program for Fall2014 or winter2015 ?
Anyone heard anything like this please discuss here .

no info on this.., probably its like they are a closing the course in a particular university or something like that..
