Is Medical required while sending the initial Application

Dear Forum Members,
I am planning to sponsor my family, currently they are in Pakistan, I want to know do they require a medical to be send along with the initial application or it will be requested later on?
Also my baby is just 2 months old , in case if medical is required to be send along with the initial application is it compulsory for her too?

The baby will need a medical as well. No medicals are sent with the application. They will be requested at a later date.

No do not do the medical at the time you send your application. They have to send you the forms that you will take with you to do the medical. This is the "medical requests form" that they will send you after eligibility are met

for Family Class sponsorships the medicals MUST be done upfront and proof of that should be sent alongside the application forms and supporting evidence at the same time to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. It's not an option. If you send your application without proof that the medical examination was done, they will return the whole package to you and you will waste precious time and money $$.

That was the process years ago. Not any more. It states in the package NOT to do the medical at this time, as you will get a request to do it at a later date.

Why are you looking at forum posts from years ago instead of the official guide? As said above, it is very clearly stated in the guide and the checklist that the medical will be requested later on.
