For police verification will marriage certificate be acceptable as a proof of present address if I have different address on passport? Since after marriage I didn't update the address on passport and it is mentioned that you need proof of present address and I only have marriage certificate right now.For adhaar card it's showing around 90 days to get a new one.

My wife was asked to create new passport for PCC since the old passport doesn't indicate that she's married. Can you confirm that new passport is required?
