I applied in December/January and my background check was completed in March with a subsequent ghost update in April but it has been crickets on the LPP since then? Does this indicate that there is a problem with my application? Is it too early to reach out to the IRCC for some feedback? I am planning work related trips and would like to know if I would need to apply for visas with my current passport.

There is no set timeframe for stages in an application. It takes as long as it takes unfortunately. Request your GCMS notes via ATIP if you really want to know what’s going on with your application.

If you need to apply for visas for work travel, you should start doing so now, under the assumption that your citizenship application might not have concluded by the time of your travel.

Thank you. I will give them some time before making any inquiries.

People in December have been taking oaths since April. Your visa office may be slow (for instance, Mississauga) but I would be calling them to know whats on my file or request GCMS notes.

I would apply for the visas just in case.

Hol' di faith... it will come through soon

Thank you. Do I have to submit select the privacy act or access to information? In addition, do I complete and submit the consent form?

Access to information.

I am not sure what you mean by a consent form.

They have a step in the process with a "Consent for an access to information and personal information request form" for download and upload.

Submitting through the privacy act is free, through the access to information act is 5$, go with the free one, they'll send you the same notes anyway.
