Is it safe to share a copy of the immigrant Visa that is stamped inside the passport with anyone?

I have the CoPR and immigrant visa and will be moving to Canada as a PR soon. Recently, I happened to share a copy of my visa on WhatsApp with someone I don't know (but known to a close relative of mine). I feel I made a mistake and I want to find out if that person can misuse my visa in any way that could affect my move to Canada.

NEVER EVER SHARE your personal documents over internet. Be it CoPR, Visa stamp or SIN (issued after landing here). You never know where its gonna end up. If it is something that you want to share, make sure to remove every barcode, digits, DOB, at least 1 name field etc.

Sharing a copy of visa will not harm you in any way. The visa has your Passport number on it. The person cannot enter canada with a copy. Moreover there are security features on a visa which is not visible on a copy. Just relax.
