Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Im tired of finding new places and staying in basements with different people and noises.

I plan to rent $1000 apartment while doing only part time work and study. Is this idea ok or stupid? Toronto area.

Well if you can afford it, it's not stupid!

You can always split it with another friend who does not make much noise :)

your post forced me to believe you have found an amazing part time job most likely at the rate of 25 an hour.

Though, did you consider the fact you will have to sign a lease of 1 year if you go for apartment and apartments don't have free laundry, wifi, hydro and parking.

If your wallet allows you for an apartment, nothing is better than your own nice apartment.

Cheers!

It is cheap, ranging from $250-$350 , some rooms are shared and some are not. You hear footsteps from the upper floor. Wifi signal might be weak, insect prone than the ground or upper floor of the house. Some rooms dont have window, meaning no sunlight.

Actually before, i stayed at upper and ground floors for 6 months, i enjoyed it. Now my 1st month at basement, i totally hate it.

It really depends on the building. Some above ground apartments have paper thin walls and will be just as noisy as the basement apartment you have now.

Where in Toronto are you planning to move??
Can you suggest good websites where I can find a plc???

If you are in Toronto, 1000$ is above average for a part time guy. But as long as you can afford it and able to leave within 1 or 2 months period if any emergency cases, it will be good.

600$-950$ is the average price for bachelor guys in Toronto! (again.. this is my own research)

yes, there are around $800 1 bedroom apartments, will look for more. maybe will add 1 more person. definitely better than some basement.
