I am currently working as a food counter attendant in Calgary, if I move to Halifax and get a work visa there in the same industry- will I be able to apply for permanent residency after only 6 months?!
 
You still have to qualify and have an employer willing to sponsor you (harder than it sounds).

There's a reason it's easy in NS. The economy there is awful.

Yes but what does 'qualify' means? Working for 6 months?
