With an LMO, you can apply for a work permit, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/index.asp and immigration later.
With an AEO, you can apply for your PR directly but it takes a bit longer. You could apply under BC provincial nominee program or under skilled worker if you qualify, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp
I would recommend trying to get the LMO first and the work permit. If you get it, you can move and work for your friends and they can sponsor you for PR under BC PNP. If you don't get it, you still have a chance to apply for the AEO which is easier to get and then you can use that to aply through BC PNP.
