Is it possible to get rejected on the same day?

Hi All, I applied for visa today, after a few hours, approximately 7-8 hours,upon tracking the passport, the passport status reads that "Your processed passport has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 31/07/2013 and is ready for collection." I am sure it is impossible to get visa on same day, so I want to know what this statement means. Please help.

where did u apply? it may be an error keep checking ur status...did u enter the right tracking number?

I did actually, I applied from Saudi Arabia. As along with the tracking number, I had to put in my birth date. Although the employees at the VFS center did seem a bit in experienced. I am worried nontheless

just go and verify tomorrow but i think they applied wrong status.....typo as such.....
