The person who will hire you will need a LMIA (sponsorship) for you to get a work permit which requires documents, proof of funds, and may also take a year or more to process. Therefore, most employers would just want to hire Canadians or people who are on a work permit or already in Canada with the same education or experience you have because it is easier and less expensive.
