Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
So...I currently telecommute for work (part-time) and thus am considered to be self employed and am not remunerated in Canada, nor do I have Canadian clients.
If I wanted to eventually work for clients in Canada, (after my PR of course), would I be allowed to do so, or would I need a special type of business work permit?

Basically, can a PR (who in theory can work for `anyone' after PR)...work for themselves?

After PR, no work permit is needed. You would have the right to live and work in Canada. You actually have the same rights as a citizen except for that you can not vote and certain government jobs may be off limits to you.

However, as a self employed person, you would have to look into what you need in the way of business license, declaring taxes etc. just the same as a Canadian citizen would.

Thank you sir!
I'm grateful for any and all replies that I receive from my [many] queries...especially from ones that are true pillars of these forums.

My situation is tricky at best, but I know I'll find the proper path to follow!

You can be self employed , You can get sole proprietorship. You will have to do business taxes and a personal tax each year. You will have to apply for hst account if you are in Ontario. You can registry a business name on line. You can then open a business bank account . Good luck.

And do NOT forget to have an accountant or someone VERY WELL VERSED in tax laws for the US as you will still have to file those danged things every year as well, Ponga! :D
