Is it possible to ask for an extension beyond the validity of Visa for Landing?

Hi,

My friend's family applied under one of business immigration's category and paid the couple of hundred thousand dollars, a few years ago, they have done their medical and their visa should be issued any day (or is issued), but they CANNOT land at the moment.

They want to know if they can postpone their LANDING, (the principal applicant cannot land, and I believe the rest of the family will have to follow)

Is it possible to get an extension BEYOND the validity of their Visa, Let's say a couple of months.

If it is, is there a procedure? Can you please direct me to it?

No - it's not possible to ask for an extension. You must land by the expiry date on your visa. If you don't land by the expiry date on your visa but still wish to immigrate to Canada, then you will have to apply again from scratch.
