Hey Everyone
I need your advice rather urgent.

I have applied under FSW2014 and the whole process is going a lot faster than I could expect. While I applied I also bought tickets for a holiday trip in Canada.

I'm going to Canada on February 3rd.
My FSW process is in the midst of doing medicals. Already received my MR a couple of days ago.

I'm filling for my VISITOR visa today.
Will I have any problems if they request my passport in about a month or so to issue my Immigration Visa? I'm afraid they might request me to do my landing already but I can't because I'm going to need a bit more time to quit my job and get everything ready for my landing.

Can anyone advise me as to wether or not not I'm going to have issues having two different visas in my passport? Thank you so much!

The issue for you is not that you will have two visas, but that they might not give you visitor's visa if your immigrant visa is in process. When applying for visitor's visa, you would have to state your non-immigrant intent which of course is contrary to your PR application. If you are confident about getting PR visa before your travel, then you don't have to bother with the visitor's visa. But, even if you decide to apply for visitor's visa, there isn't a problem with having two visas.

And why would you need to quit your job to do the landing? You can do your landing in February, return to your country to continue your job and then move to Canada permanently some time in another 3 years without any problem!!

I cannot do my landing now because I'd have to stay in Canada for some time in order to wait for my PR card... and there isn't a specific time frame for when my PR card would arrive... I'd have to stay in Canada waiting for it until it gets issued and I get it. And also, I would only be able to leave work for about 3 weeks tops... :/

I'm thinking about putting off my trip to Canada and taking a short vacation break somewhere else instead.
