Is it okay to ask what Noc code the job belongs to, and is there an offense by law in asking so?

I had a call earlier with an HR earlier for a csr job role and wanted to ask her if it's a NOC B category job, but I didn't. So is there a harm in asking so, by law, and is it not allowed to ask such a question, since I couldn't find any news about this!

It's not against the law. CRS jobs are usually NOC C or D.
